Memories
I bought my Fujifilm in Bali and began taking it almost everywhere. Looking back, the photographs hold pieces of a life I was still in the middle of understanding.

A love story with my best friend. A two-month-old puppy I rescued from the side of the road, who grew into my beautiful Pegasus. A woman who built an empire. A home I had to let go of. Sinéad O’Connor.

There are whole stories behind these images. Some I can tell; others I would rather leave inside the photograph.

I have always been drawn to light and composition, but it is often my attachment to a person or a place that makes me reach for the camera. Sometimes I recognise the importance of a moment as it happens. Sometimes I only see it much later.

Photography is a personal part of my practice. I follow what catches my eye: the way light falls across someone I love, a shadow, a small detail I don’t want to forget. These photographs hold some of the happiest moments of my life, alongside people and places that changed its direction.

That is what AI could never replace for me. I was there. I knew that person. I loved that home. For a moment, the light looked exactly like this.
